2 Cool Tools For Online Video

Unless you live under a rock, you know by now that online video represents the hottest thing to hit the Internet since the invention of the modem.

YouTube.com reportedly receives over 65,000 video submissions every day.

Video sites crowd the TOP 10 most popular destinations online and web video frequently appears on national TV while sometimes breaking the news before the networks even know a story exists.

Despite the popularity of online video, most video sites feel like the early days of radio when it comes to user- friendly features (or obvious lack thereof).

But, have not fear, the following tools will help you drastically improve both the flexibility and enjoyment you get from online videos.

** YouTube.com In Your iPod **

Most people would agree that YouTube.com carries the largest selection of free online bil streamyx available anywhere on the Net.

Once you get past the skateboard crashes and bike wrecks, some very interesting videos can be found with a little digging.

However, unlike Google Video, YouTube.com does not offer video downloads.

Google Video enables you to download almost any video in popular formats for your Apple iPod, Sony PSP, and other compatible portable video devices.

YouTube.com requires you to stay on their site to watch the videos or view them on a site with embedded code which streams the content.

Either way, YouTube.com wants your eyeballs on a web page when you watch their videos so they can make money from advertising.

So, if you Internet Offer to start watching YouTube.com videos on your desktop, iPod, PSP (or other compatible portable video device), you need a little help.

These two tools will do just that!

** high speed cable internet **

Virtually all online video sites stream their videos in FLV (Flash Video) format, a format that works very well on both PC and Mac computers over the Web.

Unfortunately, the FLV file format does not work on most portable video players, so you need a way to convert them to a file format that will work.

DVDVideoSoft.com offers a free PC software program that will convert YouTube.com videos to MP4 format for use on your iPod or other portable devices, including mobile phones.

Log onto the site, look for the link that says "FLV to iPod" (currently in the lower right corner of the front page) and follow the instructions.

I found the software simple, easy-to-use and straight to the point with an intuitive interface (that means you can figure out how to use it without reading the instructions).

** Vixy.net - Online Conversions **

Vixy.net is an online service (currently in beta) offering online video conversion for both PC and Mac since it works through a standard web browser.

Just give the site the URL of the FLV video you want to convert, choose the format you want (AVI, MP4, 3GP, MOV, or MP3 audio-only) and click the button.

Once Vixy.net finishes converting, they give you a link to download the file.

My only complaint with Vixy.net is that they "throttle" their bandwidth, so it took Adsl Software to download the converted file.

Other than that, it worked like a charm!

Free Mobile Phone With a Free PS3

A mobile phone with a free PS3 - This is one of the latest incentives available through UK mobile phone retailers. There are quite a few companies in the UK fighting Adsl Dsl Modem supremacy in the market connection you'll find that incentive offers are quite the norm at the moment. This kind of incentive seems to be almost unique in the Western world. The problem is finding a company who are reliable and have a good reputation. There are stories circulating about 'here today, gone tomorrow' firms who offer cashback and line rental offers, but when you get around to claiming them, they've vanished and left you up the proverbial creek. Customers then contact the network, but find that the incentive was offered by the retailer and not the network, so they have absolutely no claim and, furthermore, can't get out of the contract.

I personally only use one company. I agreed to Mbps Speed for three of the latest Sony Ericsson phones in September 2006, one for me, one for my wife, and one for my daughter, for 18 months. As an incentive, we each chose a Sony PSP and we were offered cashback. To claim the cashback, we had to send our bills in for specified months (May and August) and we received a cheque by return. When our contracts ended in March 2008, we took out three new phones with contracts and again received 3 free phones with free gifts and cashback.

If you consider this, you're getting the latest phone free, on a pay monthly contract and, in the case of the phone with a free PS3, a 300 game console. If you Adsl Speed Check it on a 30 per month contract, you're Streamyx Tv a total of 540 for a phone, a game console, all your calls and all your texts, even less if you have a cashback deal! You could go direct to the Network Provider, but you'll end up paying the same for your contract but not getting a valuable free gift. I'd rather have a phone with a free PS3!

Variations of Broadband DSL for Business and Residential Applications

Broadband internet access, also Baltimore Business Services to high-speed internet access, provides businesses streamyx combo mobile consumers, internet access at considerably higher rates of speed than standard dial-up modems. Broadband does not simply pertain to one specific type of internet service or data transfer rate. Broadband is continually changing and developing, and it encompasses a wide range of technology including fibre optic cable, cable modems, Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity), WLAN (wireless local area networks), and DSL (digital subscriber lines).

Digital Subscriber Lines, or "DSL," uses the existing customer phone lines to provide internet or intranet access to businesses and homes using high-speed broadband technology of varying levels.

Broadband DSL works by connecting subscribers to a main broadband DSL access multiplexer. The broadband DSL multiplexer sends a signal from the broadband DSL customer phone line to a network, which then in turn connects the subscriber to the internet.

Broadband DSL use digital technology by compressing sizeable quantities of video, audio, and data into what is known as "bits." The bits are transformed into graphics, text, and other information which are transferred at high rates of speed to business and home computers across the globe.

At the uppermost level, the two primary categories of DSL are asymmetric and symmetric. Residential broadband DSL typically uses asymmetric variations which include internet calls UADSL/G.Lite, and ADSL. Data transfer rates are considerably slower upstream than downstream, so this type of broadband DSL, ADSL, is suitable for residential use where surfing the internet is the primary internet activity. Residential internet telework promotion and broadband generally have more
incoming than outgoing data.

Symmetric varieties of broadband DSL, SDSL, are IDSL and HDSL. These broadband DSL variants are suitable for most business applications. Upstream and downstream transfer rates are the same, making SDSL technology suitable for server hosting, video conferencing, LAN applications, file transfers, and email.

China cautious despite economy gain

SHANGHAI: China's industrial output, investment and retail sales improved in August, the Government said yesterday, as stimulus spending and nascent recoveries in overseas markets helped to boost demand. The National Statistics Bureau reported that industrial...

As the name suggests, TalkTalk is hardly one of the many fairly similar broadband services that sprout up every so often. For one thing, it offers its broadband services free of charge, and that alone is enough normally to have most drooling around the mouth. But where did TalkTalk come from, and what is the catch to its remarkable offer? By taking a brief look at the history of this service, the answers seem to be clear.

Phone first, broadband later

What may not be commonly known about TalkTalk is that it is the consumer telephone business of The Carephone Warehouse group (the very block internet one that operates many high street stores that deal with mobile phones). By acquiring Opal Telecom in late-2002, TalkTalk gained the ability to operate its own landline network, and began building and strengthening what was to become its greatest forte.

From the beginning, TalkTalk aimed to provide cheaper, and thus more accessible, phone calls. This foundation was further strengthened when they began to allow unlimited free calls between all of their customers by mid-2004. By doing so, TalkTalk catapulted itself in popularity, as people rushed to sign up and enjoy the monumental savings that the offer resulted in.

Within half a year, broadband began to be offered in attractive packages as well. Combined with the existing cheap services, it became an dsl isp recipe Internet Services success. Today, free broadband is still on offer with various TalkTalk broadband and phone calls packages, and looks to be growing fast.

Expansion toward the future

Hindsight is often described as being twenty-twenty, but foresight is not so reliable at times. business broadband it is to TalkTalks great credit that they have been visionary enough to be able to predict and provide what their customers desire most. Great savings in attractive packages have continually fuelled the TalkTalk expansion as it operates in many more countries now than merely the UK.

In line with these past successes, TalkTalk already has one eye set on the future with their new, much-hailed plan. Instead of 'merely' offering free broadband and some free calls, TalkTalk now has its sights set on introducing more free international calls between TalkTalk customers across Europe. Needless to say, this move seems sure to be a stunning success, and they feel that it would be the last step that is required towards becoming the largest free calls community in all of Europe.

Who knows where TalkTalk would intend to go for there, but certainly anyone interested in bargain deals for broadband internet and phone calls will undoubtedly be waiting for the next move with bated breath.

Whether Broadband Tv not you buy into the hype, the simple fact is that when compared to pretty Tmbill Tm Net My any other major company's telephone rates, TalkTalk appears to be the cheapest on offer. Indeed, theircontinuous ability to keep prices low allows even the most sceptical of customers to rest easy, knowing that their record and numbers speak for Internet Connection Speedometer Perhaps one day TalkTalk will find a way of allowing both broadband and phone calls to be completely free, who knows.

DialToSave now offers broadband comparison for you to choose the best broadband internet for your home or business. You can find out all the options available from TalkTalk broadband and other providers.

Sensible Reasons to Hate 5 Gigabyte Caps on Mobile Broadband

It's upsetting...

Why?

Because there's money streamyx mail setting be made from helping people get online faster. This can be a win-win situation but, greed (yes, greed) has kept mobile broadband companies from seeing it.

Allow me to explain.

Mobile broadband carriers usually give the following statement (or some variation of it) as the reason for having usage caps:

"1% use the majority of bandwidth making it difficult to provide service for normal users"

In the 'defense' of other users, they deem it necessary to create usage caps to make it affordable for them to provide quality service to the majority of users. While there 2mb broadband some truth to this, it's a double-edged sword.

While a small percentage of the population users more bandwidth than others, the underlying assumption made by carriers is that they only consume and not produce. While there may be some that 'leech', there are others that 'seed' new content, ideas, and information that benefits their specialized niche (and in turn everyone else).

Does this mean we should simply remove the consumers and leave the producers? No. Power consumers of the web also provide a benefit to the network. Without power users, networks would have no incentive to increase the capacity of their networks. Without a force to challenge the limits of what is currently available, nothing new will be produced. It's simple economics. Without demand, there will be no supply.

There's Money To Be Made Here

Here's another way to look at it.

Let's say Wal-Mart has 20 bags of chicken for sale. Most people buy 1 bag of chicken. However, there is one person who buys streamyx 1mb bags of chicken. Single handedly, he has cut the activate streamyx account of chicken available in half. Wal-Mart could react to this a number of ways. It could ration the amount of chicken someone can buy or it sell more chicken. By reducing it to this simplistic Data Security Article it's not hard to see that an opportunity to profit exists here.

Without going too much into pricing strategies here, it is possible for them to survey power users to see what they would be willing to pay for increased consumption. This would offset the cost to them for increasing capacity. In addition to this, they can implement better systems/technology to reduce universally unwanted bandwidth consumption.

I'm talking about junk mail.

Junk mail, also known as spam, accounts for 80-85% of broadband high speed internet email in the world by some conservative estimates. That in itself is an incredible opportunity for Internet Service Providers to reduce unnecessary bandwidth consumption on their networks. It would save them a lot of money.

What The Future Holds

The estimated household is expected to use 200 Gigabytes per month by 2012. It's pretty obvious the current 5 Gigabyte cap on most mobile broadband plans in the United States will be grossly insufficient. A laughable joke a best. Adopting a usage cap based broadband marketplace will only stifle creativity on the internet as users contemplate the cost of doing business. While those with deep pockets will be able to afford it, in effect, it is against net neutrality (free of restrictions on content, sites, or platforms, on the kinds of equipment that may be attached, and on the modes of communication allowed, as well as one where communication is not unreasonably degraded by other communication streams).

As prices rise in whats my broadband speed an environment, it is the very average user that companies now claim to 'protect' who will bear the brunt of the financial and opportunistic costs. Companies need to seek alternative business models that are mutually beneficial for themselves and their users.

It doesn't get any more pathetic than Miley Cyrus.

It's been well-documented how the singer relies on Twitter to garner attention and sympathy from her fans. She posts the most self-centered, pointless messages of any celebrity on the network.

But Miley has now taken it to a new level. Earlier this week, she Tweeted:

I wish just once I could look out into the crowd and he would be sitting in the front row Free Broadband along. I miss you.

Then, six minutes later, she wrote: Regarding my last tweet. Yes it was about a boy. The one who never lets me down. The one who always swiss garden hotel kuala lumpur me smile. My Pappy.

Here's a crazy idea, Miles: if you miss your father, PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL HIM!!! Why resort to some mysterious, creepy Twitter message for the world to see... only to then clarify it minutes later?

Actually, scratch that. We all know the answer.

Miley and Creepy Dad

It's understandable why fans would be confused when Miley Cyrus references a boy. She toys with so many, it's easy to lose track.

Miley and father Billy Ray have a well-known, inappropriate relationship. This is a man who has no problem with his 16-year old daughter strutting around the stage like a stripper. Hey, as long as it makes the family money, right?

As a summer location Spean Bridge in the Highlands Dsl Speed a popular destination for holiday makers. It is an attractive village situated at the junction of the Cairngorms and the Western Highlands. The village may be small, but streamyx a box is well equipped and you have access to a tourist information centre on-site.

This village lies just eight miles north of Fort William, and visiting Fort William is an absolute must. This is because it is the streamyx broadband speed for the historic Ben Nevis Distillery and it is also the place where you can meet Streamyx McDram. This giant of a man internet connection monitor encourage you to take a dram of the Dew of Ben Nevis; Uisge beatha (water of life) when on your guided tour of the oldest licensed distillery in Scotland. Established in 1825 the distillery lies at the foot of the highest mountain in the wireless modem rental Isles, the grand old Ben Nevis.

Understandably the name of this village is derived from the fact that the River Spean runs through it. And although this area is at peace now, it has been historically associated with conflict. In 1544 a blood battle between the Fraser's and 500 of the Clanranald and Camerons took place in a showdown at the head of Loch Lochy. At the end of the battle only 4 Fraser men were left alive out of 300.

Fortunately it is said the Fraser men made sure that 80 of their wives were pregnant before they went into battle to ensure the continuation of their line. This was not the only conflict to take place but it is one of the most famous, and the site of the battle is known as 'Blar-nan-Leine'- "the field of the shirts", as it was too hot for the men to fight in their plaids the men fought only in shirts.

Spean Bridge has many Connect Adsl nearby, loch dwelling monster, ancient castles, hand crafted plaids and kilts, single malt whiskey (of course), Scottish made tweed teddies, the Commando memorial and thriving wildlife. Animals such as the Pine Martins come out at dusk when hunting for food, and Sea Eagles, Osprey and deer come down from the mountains looking for shelter.

Check here for a wide selection of Spean Bridge hotels.
