As a summer location Spean Bridge in the Highlands Dsl Speed a popular destination for holiday makers. It is an attractive village situated at the junction of the Cairngorms and the Western Highlands. Fortunately it is said the Fraser men made sure that 80 of their wives were pregnant before they went into battle to ensure the continuation of their line. This was not the only conflict to take place but it is one of the most famous, and the site of the battle is known as 'Blar-nan-Leine'- "the field of the shirts", as it was too hot for the men to fight in their plaids the men fought only in shirts.
